The national government announced the health requirements that define who can travel and enter the national territory.
According to Joint Resolution 11/2020 of the Ministry of Health of the Nation and the National Directorate of Migration, published this Wednesday (02.11.2020) in the Official Gazette, it is established that they are Citizens of neighboring countries or residents of such countries who travel for tourism to the AMBA region and who do not require a consular visa due to their nationality and who enter through the Ministro Pistarini International Airport, the San Fernando International Airport and the Port of Buenos Aires are authorized to enter the country. You can also enter the national citizens and residents of the Argentine Republic, regardless of their place of origin.
The regulations specify that this group also includes:Foreigners authorized by the aforementioned department to carry out work or commercial activities, carry out an official diplomatic mission, participate in sporting events who comply with specific protocols, family reunification with Argentine residents who require a visa; and foreigners declared in transit with a stay at the international airport of less than 24 hours.
In addition, they can enter Authorized foreigners who are direct relatives of Argentine citizens who enter the country temporarily for reasons of necessity and do not require a visa under bilateral agreements or unilateral measures that exempt them from said requirement, who enter through the airports and ports already mentioned and the International Border Crossings of Paso de los Libres – Uruguayana in Corrientes, the Cristo Redentor System in Mendoza, San Sebastián, in Tierra del Fuego and Gualeguaychú – Fray Bentos, in Entre Ríos.
Also, these exceptions are added to the following: Argentine or foreign persons residing in the country who intend to enter through a land border crossing, and expressly choose not to present a PCR and comply with the 14-day isolation. In this case, it is recommended to enter by a means of transport that is preferably not public and the jurisdiction of destination will verify compliance with the indicated isolation. When entering by air or sea, it will not be possible to choose this option, due to the greater risk of contagion existing in these means of transport.
Sworn declaration
The new protocol in times of pandemic requires filing an electronic sworn statement to enter the national territory, within 48 hours of their arrival if they do so by their own means or of their boarding if they do so on international passenger transport.
PCR
This is in addition to the taking of diagnostic samples of PCR at least 72 hours prior to international travel with a negative result for COVID-19 and proof of hiring a international travel insurance with coverage for COVID-19 care in the country.
