The Government of Honduras enabled on Wednesday (20.01.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX) the streaming or live broadcast service at the El Amatillo and El Guasaule land customs. This decision will allow users of the customs service to monitor means of transport in real time through webcams located at these border crossings, the Customs Administration reported.

The provision responds to Resolution 376/2015 of the Council of Ministers of Economic Integration (COMIECO), the entity in charge of establishing economic integration policies for the Central American region. It reaffirms and urges countries to accelerate the implementation of the five priority measures of the Central American Strategy for Trade Facilitation and Competitiveness, with emphasis on Coordinated Border Management.
The camera system service at the aforementioned customs offices promotes improved control, border security and the facilitation of the transit of goods and people, improving intraregional free trade.
