Strategic destinations

The report highlights significant growth in key markets. Of the 48 export destinations, there is a notable increase in shipments to United States, with an expansion of 46%, followed by Chile (21%), Israel (11%), the European Union (7%) and China (4%). This growth reflects a greater presence of Argentine meat in strategic markets and a growing demand for its quality.

In addition, a new market, Mexico, has burst into the rankings, occupying sixth place, followed by Brazil, Russia, to Canada y Malaysia. Together, these 10 destinations accounted for 99% of the exported volume.

As for exported products, 16% corresponded to chilled cuts, while the rest were frozen cuts, both bone-in and boneless. In 2023, chilled cuts reached 31 destinations, while one more was added in 2024. Meanwhile, sales of frozen cuts increased from 31 to 44 destinations compared to the previous year.

Bovine slaughter in the first nine months of 2024 reached 10,22 million heads. Excluding the atypical 2023, this level exceeded the average for the 2017-2022 period, which was 9,9 million heads. Similarly, beef production was 2.336 thousand tons of bone-in beef, exceeding the average of 2.252 thousand tons of boneless beef recorded between 2017 and 2022. Of the total production, 70% was destined for the domestic market, while the rest was destined for export.
