The Chilean Government held today (14.01.2025/XNUMX/XNUMX) the second session of the High Level Commission for the Development of the Bioceanic Road Corridor. The central objective of this meeting has been to strengthen the strategic collaboration between the State and the regional governments of Antofagasta and Tarapacá, with the purpose of consolidating a land route that connects the Atlantic with the Pacific, positioning itself as a gateway for Chile, Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil to the Asian market.
According to Chilean authorities, the meeting was attended by the ministers of the Interior, Foreign Affairs, Finance, Transport and Economy, as well as the governors of the Antofagasta and Tarapacá regions.
Thus, the meeting's main purpose was to define a coordinated work plan focused on planning security, infrastructure, border alignment and trade opportunities.

Along the same lines, the Governor of Antofagasta, Ricardo Diaz, highlighted the need to improve interregional connectivity and diversify the economy of northern Chile, promoting activities beyond mining to generate wealth and sustainable development.
