“Bases and Starting Points for the Freedom of Argentines”: the text of the bill sent by the PEN to Congress

The National Executive Branch (PEN) sent this Wednesday (27.12.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX) the bill “Bases and Starting Points for the Freedom of Argentines” to the Chamber of Deputies. The document incorporates a reform of the public administration, which covers economic, financial, fiscal, social security, defense, tariff, energy, health and social matters.  

The "legislative initiative" of President Javier Gerardo Milei will be debated by the Legislative Branch in the extraordinary sessions, which began last Tuesday and will end at the end of January. 

The bill is in line with the economic measures announced and with the Decree of Necessity and Urgency 70/2023 of the National Government, determined to implement a far-reaching deregulation plan. Thus, the text is organized in 10 Titles, Chapters, Sections and Annexes. Includes 664 items distributed in 351 pages.

Some new arrivals The following are noteworthy legal fragments: modification of taxes on goods taxed under the baggage regime (article 64), creation of the Regime for the Regularization of Tax, Customs and Social Security Obligations (Payment Plan - article 113) and establishment of the export duty rate (articles 200 to 207), among other matters.
