The National Executive Branch has published the Decree 111 / 2025, which modifies Decree 727/2021 and redefines the distribution of resources from the Fund for the Expansion of the Fuegian Productive Matrix (FAMP-Fueguina). This new regulation establishes updated criteria for the use of mandatory contributions by beneficiary companies.
La Law 19.640, which instituted the industrial promotion regime in the province in 1972, was designed to reaffirm national sovereignty in the then National Territory of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and the South Atlantic Islands. To achieve this objective, a special fiscal and customs framework that turned the province into a free trade zone, except for the Great Island of Tierra del Fuego, which was established as special customs areaThis regime allowed the establishment of industrial companies, generating employment and promoting economic and social development at both regional and national levels. In 2021, through Decree 727, the benefits were extended until 2038, thus guaranteeing predictability for companies established on the island.

To facilitate its implementation, the new decree modifies article 6 of Decree 727/2021, establishing the following distribution:
- El 60% of the mandatory contributions to the fund will be allocated to productive, technological and training projects in Tierra del Fuego. In addition, it is ensured that at least one third of these resources will benefit companies not included in the Promotion Regime of Law 19.640.
- The 40% The remainder will be directed towards infrastructure projects promoted by the province, municipalities and the National State, with the aim of improving competitiveness and reducing logistics costs.
- Companies adhering to the regime will be able to allocate up to 40% of their monthly contribution to their own investments., provided they have the approval of the Executive Committee of the fund. This measure seeks to optimize the allocation of resources and improve their execution, without altering the spirit of the current regulations.
The decree came into force validity with its publication in the Official Gazette on Thursday 20 of February of 2025.
