Peru creates tutorials to facilitate procedures for importers and exporters

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) of Peru presented this Wednesday (08.06.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) a series of tutorial videos that will make it easier to import and export products thanks to the Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCE)

In a statement, the ministry explained that interested parties will be able to facilitate their procedures, for example, for the import of telecommunications equipment (cell phones and broadcasting equipment), cosmetics, medicines, processed products and fresh products, the latter being one of the most requested procedures through the VUCE. Likewise, for the shipment of products abroad and the transit of goods.

La Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, Ana Cecilia Gervasi, pointed out that these videos will be very useful for national entrepreneurs and businessmen in foreign trade, and are added to a series of tools that seek to promote and disseminate the use of VUCE. The official indicated that, in order to continue strengthening the competitiveness of Peruvian foreign trade, the VUCE 2.0 Project, through which work is being done to improve foreign trade facilitation services through the VUCE. With its advances, competitive operating costs will be obtained with systematized, updated and intelligent information.

“As part of this ongoing effort, we can highlight, among others, the launch of the Information Exchange Module between Operators, MIIO, the Foreign Trade Logistics Services Information Module, MISLO, the upcoming launch of the Market Access and Foreign Trade Regulations Portal, PAM, and the donation of technological goods and computer equipment to the various control entities, port component entities and Special Economic Zones,” he added.

As a reminder, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the VUCE platform has been operating normally. Thus, companies were able to continue moving forward with their procedures virtually and safely. In 2021 alone, the Single Window for Foreign Trade generated more than 148 million soles in savings for exporters, importers and foreign trade operators, by avoiding the use of resources, travel and management time.

It should be noted that those interested in the platform can download the VUCE application, available for IOS and Android operating systems, which has been improved and optimized for more user-friendly use.
