The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) made official this Monday (20.05.2024) the resignation of Rosana Ludvicco as General Director of Customs and the designation replacing Eduardo Mallea.
This was established by means of the Provision 50/2024, published in the Official Gazette, signed by Florencia Lucila Misrahi.
Likewise, the Official Gazette also published today the Provision 49/2024 through which "the termination of functions and appointment of various personnel in different Structural Units is managed, within the scope of the General Directorate of Customs."
The new functions assigned to eight people are as follows:
- Rubén César Pave, Head of the San Lorenzo Customs Department.
- Horacio Miguel Font, Head of the Campana Customs Department.
- Gladys Liana Morando, Director of Coordination and Operational Evaluation.
- Marcelo Fabián Lista, 1st General Counsel in the Valuation and Document Verification Department.
- María Luisa Carbonell, 1st General Counselor in the Operational Evaluation Coordination Directorate.
- Eduardo Salvador Di Grigoli, function according to the category in the Campana Customs Department.
- Juan Carlos Saucedo, function according to the category in the San Lorenzo Customs Department
- Marcelo Alejandro Sosa, function according to category in Cargo Office at Metropolitan Airport.
The General Directorate of Customs is the authority responsible for enforcing the legislation on the import and export of goods, as well as the control of goods entering or leaving the Argentine Republic. Its management is now formally in the hands of Eduardo Mallea.
Who is Eduardo Mallea? Regarding his education, Eduardo Mallea is a lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires, with an emphasis on Tax Law.
In his professional career, he worked at the Bruchou & Funes law firm in Rioja and provided customs advice to both national and international clients.
Additionally, the specialist teaches classes on “Logistics and customs regulation in the energy industry” within the Postgraduate Program in Hydrocarbons at the UCA.
Mallea is also a member of the Argentine Association of Fiscal Studies, the Argentine Institute of Customs Studies, the International Business Committee of the Chambers of Companies and the Import-Export Committee of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce.
