Less than a month after the closure due to the damage to Central American infrastructure caused by hurricanes Eta and Iota, the Corinto Integrated Border Post of the Customs Union between Honduras and Guatemala.
The governments of both countries announced today (30.11.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX) to land transporters and users in general that the reopening of that Central American region point for customs services and operations is active again.
The measure is the result of the actions of the competent institutions, which carried out works to enable road access to the Corinto Integrated Border Post, previously blocked by the aftermath of the aforementioned tropical storms.
Let us remember that the aforementioned Border Post is located between Puerto Barrios and Santo Tomás de Castilla in Guatemala and Puerto Cortés in Honduras, one of the main port infrastructures in the Central American Caribbean. For this reason, it is the main point of free circulation of commercial operations in the Central American region.
At present, These countries require trade to revive their economies.
