Chilean government calls for public competition to appoint new customs director

The Government of Chile, through the Ministry of Finance, reported this Wednesday (16.03.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) that it will begin the public competition to appoint the new national director of Customs. This after request the resignation of José Ignacio Palma, who held the position since 2019.

Whoever Gustavo Poblete will take over the position on an interim basis., who served as Deputy Administrative Director of Customs.

Poblete holds a Master's degree in Administration from the University of Chile and a diploma in Internal Auditor of Quality Management Systems from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He is also a Public Administrator and has a degree in Public Sciences and Public Management from the Central University.

Previously, Gustabo Poblete was Head of the General Administration Division of the Superintendency of Education, Head of the Budget Subdepartment of the Supreme Court and Head of the Purchasing and Contracting Department of the General Directorate of International Economic Relations.
