The General Directorate of Customs (DGA) enabled this Wednesday (16.03.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) a mechanism to allow the change in the final destination of those exports that were to be sent to Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
The measure seeks to facilitate the foreign trade operations of those Argentine companies that were unable to unload their merchandise as a result of the war.
For example, last week it was revealed that the blockade of Russian ports prevented the entry of pears that were loaded on four ships bound for that destination last February.
In this way, the organization headed by Silvia Traverso allows exporting firms rectify their customs declarations to indicate a new destination for your shipments.
The measure is a response to cases of companies that have been unable to carry out their commercial operations under the originally agreed conditions due to the closure of ports located in war zones.
These are Argentine companies that, in response to the outbreak of the war, had to change the destination country of the goods, the buyer, the conditions and the sales price.
Given this situation, the DGA authorized the rectification of the data of the respective customs declarations, when requested by the exporter, in accordance with the terms of the Article 322 of the Customs Code.
For the advance payment of Income Tax, the new country of billing and destination of the merchandise must be considered.
Customs indicated that, in the event that the documented values differ from the usual export values, once the declaration has been rectified, the background information must be sent to the DGA's inspection area for control.
