The National Government established Extra-Zone Import Duties (DIE) for motorcycle and passenger car parts until December 31, 2023.
This is established by the Decree 81 / 2019 published this Friday (25.1.2019) in the Official Gazette.
"The measure aims to consolidate the assembly of motorcycles and certain vehicles with similar characteristics and promote the strategic integration of local parts and pieces, articulating their production network in the models developed in the country," says the regulation.
Value added
The decree states that the tariff benefit will apply to those individuals who have an industrial establishment located in the country for the manufacture of motorcycles, in whose production they develop a local value-added integration process of at least 2%.
The measure will come into effect on January 26, 2019.
