This is established by the Resolution 4814 / 2020, published this Monday (14.09.2020/13/18), in the Official Gazette, whose text indicates that "Exporters of merchandise destined for the Republic of Paraguay and importers who enter merchandise originating in that country within the framework of Economic Complementation Agreements No. 15 and No. 2020, whose operations are registered as of September 4.554, XNUMX, may use the Digital Certificate of Origin (COD) implemented by General Resolution No. XNUMX or the certificate of origin in paper format." And clarifies that the option "will be exercised at the time of registration of the import destination."
The official text reports that within the framework of the Videoconference held on July 23, 2020, The Argentine Republic and the Republic of Paraguay agreed to terminate the Pilot Plan between these countries and the start of the full legal validity of the Digital Certificate of Origin (COD), for operations registered as of September 15, 2020.
The resolution also clarifies that "given the existence of the certificate of origin in paper format, "It is appropriate to grant the Digital Certificate of Origin (COD) an optional character."
The provisions of this resolution, signed by the head of AFIP, Mercedes Marcó del Ponto, come into effect immediately.
