The General Secretariat of the Central American Integration System (SICA) has established an important strategic alliance with one of the world's leading companies in online education, COURSERA.

This Alliance provides professional training, with the best academic institutions in the world through Coursera, which helps people to have better chances of finding employment, especially due to the situation we are going through with the pandemic” he said. The SICA and COURSERA Alliance provides 10,000 scholarships for people from the eight SICA member countries: Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic, who will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of more than 4,000 available courses with totally free certifications.
Courses include recorded video lectures, discussion forums, self-graded and reviewed assignments. You can choose from a wide range of courses and specializations from management, finance, technology, languages, arts, self-improvement, humanities, business, history and many more.
Conditions for accessing the courses
Be a national of one of the eight member countries of SICA: Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
The deadline to register for the training program is October 31, 2020.
Complete the courses before December 31, 2020. After this date, the selected courses will have a cost in accordance with Coursera's commercial policies. If the person wishes to continue with the selected courses, the cost must be assumed by them.
