The Government reduces the amount for purchases abroad through the door-to-door regime

-

The Government reduced from US$3000 to U$S1000 the limit for purchases abroad that are made through the Courier or Door to Door service.

This is established by the General Resolution 5260/2022, published in the Official Gazette, whose text introduces such a change in the regulations relating to the import and export of goods by companies authorised as Postal/Courier Service Providers.

According to the regulations, the modification in such Import Regime by Postal Service Providers PSP/Courier, "intended for natural or legal persons", refers to the FOB value of the "goods consigned to the same recipient", which must not exceed USD 1000 per flight in total.

Meanwhile, the number of shipments, for individuals, will remain at five annual shipments, as indicated by the calendar year.

The provisions of this general resolution shall enter into force immediately.
