El Economy Minister, Luis Caputo, The government announced today (December 9, 2025) a further reduction in export duties for major grain and by-product chains. The measure will take effect once it is published in the Official Gazette, a step that is still pending.
“Today we are taking another step towards tax relief for the agricultural sector, moving forward with the permanent reduction of export duties for grain and by-product chains,” the official stated on his social media account.
Caputo emphasized that eliminating export taxes "has always been a priority for President Javier Milei" and assured that the Government will continue to move towards that goal "to the extent that macroeconomic conditions allow it."
The announced rates will be modified as follows once they are made official:

The Ministry of Economy highlighted that the reduction It aims to improve the competitiveness of the agro-industry, the main driver of the country's exports.
“This reduction in export taxes seeks to improve the competitiveness of the agribusiness sector, one of the most powerful engines of the Argentine economy,” Caputo stated, adding that the agricultural sector “will continue to grow, generating employment, driving development in every region of the country, and strengthening Argentina’s presence in world markets.”
“The path is clear: lower taxes, more production, more opportunities and jobs for all Argentinians,” the minister concluded.
