China responds to the United States with new tariffs on US products worth 50.000 billion dollars. This is 25%, which will affect a total of 106 new products imported from the United States and in response to the measures announced by Washington against Chinese products.
The measures applied by Beijing affect soybeans, corn, beef, orange juice, tobacco, automobiles and airplanes.
It was a quick response to the Office of the United States Representative (USTR)'s list of 1300 Chinese products on which it plans to impose tariffs, in response to China's alleged "unfair" trade practices, EFE reported.
Foreign Ministry spokesman, Geng Shuang, He said that for its part, the Asian country has done everything possible to reduce tension: "I can tell you that China has worked hard and shown sincerity in maintaining communication on this issue. However, the best opportunities to properly resolve the issue through dialogue have repeatedly failed.".
This is an amount equivalent to the package of Chinese products that Washington plans to tax. Soybeans, the main agricultural export from the United States to China, are one of the 106 products on which Beijing plans to impose an additional 25% tax.
