The Argentine government on Monday (11.12.2017) authorized Norwegian to operate low-cost local and international air services in different locations in the country, according to the official bulletin.
According to Resolution 1288-E/2017 The authorization covers 72 domestic routes and 80 international routes, with bases of operations in the towns of Ezeiza, Córdoba, Mendoza, Rosario, Salta and other cities in the interior of the country.
Norwegian “will begin operating in Argentina on year 2018 , investing a total of US$4.300 billion to fly some 60 aircraft, generating some 3.200 direct jobs and connecting some 100 cities,” the Ministry of Transport said.
The concession granted shall be valid for 15 years from the date of notification of this resolution, the resolution said.
