The Association of Agricultural and Livestock Service Employees (Afsag) ratifies the national strike of SAG plant, contract and honorary workers, on the eve of national holidays from September 13 to 15 for a total of 72 hours.
The measure will be implemented after the lack of progress in the negotiations of the three protocols agreed upon by the Treasury, Agriculture and the National Directorate of the service.
So This was confirmed to Aduana News by the secretary of Afsag, Patricio Luna who stated “The measure will affect airports, ports, maritime, land and air controls throughout Chile." In addition, "import and export cargo will not be reviewed."", he pointed.
On the other hand, the secretary of Afsag indicated that the demands of the officials to end the strike are: compliance with the protocols signed by the Government of Chile; the institutional development of the SAG consistent with its history; the development of a plant that recognizes the grades of the People Policy and with classification; the transfer of honorary workers to the contract in the grades used by the SAG; respect for the seniority of honorary workers as an entry criterion, and respect for the principle of “equal work, equal pay.”
