Port of Buenos Aires eliminates the registration fee

-

The General Port Administration (AGP) has eliminated the registration fee for port service companies, allowing the port terminal to continue to make progress in "simplifying its procedures and eliminating extra costs, to empower companies that operate and provide services in the jurisdiction."

Through 30 / 2019 resolution Published in the Official Gazette this Monday (11.3.2019), the AGP modified the registration and/or re-registration process, in order to streamline administrative procedures and eliminate "unnecessary costs".

Before the measure, the agency said, companies had to pay between US$1.000 and US$2.000 annually for registration and submit several documents in person.

The new resolution reduces the amount of documentation that these companies must submit and the process can be done online on the Remote Procedures (TAD) platform, free of charge and retroactive to January 1.

Based on this, companies that have already paid this year will be able to request a refund from the AGP Administration and Finance Department.

The resolution, it was stated, "is part of the modernization and de-bureaucratization process that has been carried out since the beginning of the current administration and as a response to the concerns of the port community in the various working groups that have been held since 2016."
