Government reduces airport taxes on regional flights by 56%

-

The National Government will reduce the cost of airport taxes for regional flights by 56%, by expanding the operating radius outside the country from 300 to 1.000 kilometers starting next May.

The measure adopted by the 71 resolution of the National Civil Administration, published this Monday (28.1.2019) in the Official Gazette.

Regulations reduce the cost of fees since the 4,42 dollars paid per passenger on flights with destinations up to 300 kilometers are now extended to 700 more kilometers.

The resolution establishes that this rate will be reduced by 50% during the first year in the case of those regional flights that operate new routes., which will cost per passenger $2,21.
