Registration opens for access to US beef quota

The National Government has opened registration for the export quota of 5.000 tons of beef to the United States.

This is established by the  21 resolution published this Monday (28.1.2019) in the Official Gazette, through which the procedures are established for meat packing plants interested in sending chilled or frozen boneless cuts under the international criterion “first come, first served”.

Requirements

Companies and groups of producers or associations of breeders of bovine breeds They must have a current registration with the RUCA and be authorized by Senasa, the regulation states.

The Export Certificate It will be managed through the Remote Procedures Platform (TAD), completing the form called “Beef Quota to the USA – Certification” as a sworn declaration, and must be accompanied by the customs document that certifies the completion of the export (Shipping Permit), the commercial document (Invoice E) and the health document issued by Senasa.

Argentina will have an access benefit of a quota of 20.000 tons per year, which would represent US$ 150 to US$ 180 million, while exports exceeding this volume will have to pay another import tariff of 26,4%.

Colombia

On the other hand, through the 24 resolution, Agroindustry distributed equally among nine companies, the 2nd quota of chilled and frozen beef exports to Colombia, and left a freely available fund of 85 tons.
