“Exporta simple” will boost SME exports

Through a resolution, the Government made official this Monday (25.09.2017) the registration and use of the simplified export service.

The Government officially announced this Monday (25.09.2017) the registration and use of the simplified export regime "Exporta Simple", with which it will seek to boost foreign sales of small and medium-sized commercial and industrial companies.

This was arranged by the Secretary of Commerce, Miguel Braun, through the Resolution 725-E/2017, published this Monday in the Official bulletin.

This plan was created by Joint General Resolution No. 4.049 dated May 12, 2017 of the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP).

"Exporta Simple" is a simplified export regime created with the aim of facilitating export operations for small producers., for commercial purposes, through Postal Service Providers.

Through this regime, we seek to promote the increase in export activity, as well as to facilitate integration with localities in countries of the Mercosur.

With this program, the Postal service providers are responsible for keeping records of export operations.

These operations will be subject to export duties, which must be paid by means of the Using the Electronic Payment Voucher (VEP) prior to shipment of the merchandise.

Requirements

  1. Beneficiaries must have a CUIT and tax code with a Security Level of at least 3.
  2. The annual billing amount of these exports may not exceed the FOB value equivalent to US$ 600.000 per subject and each individual operation may not exceed the FOB value of US$ 15.000 per subject.
  3. Goods subject to export under this regime must be produced in the country and not subject to export prohibitions, suspensions or quotas.   
  4. The unit weight of each shipment may not exceed 300 gross kilograms.
