The icebreaker Almirante Irizar will set sail on Tuesday (26.09.2017) to carry out sea trials and check systems and equipment prior to testing in ice zones with a view to future Antarctic campaigns, the Ministry of Defense reported.
The ship will depart from the Argentine Industrial and Naval Complex (CINAR), and during its journey "The maximum performance of each of the systems will be demanded and the roles of the different operations that the unit performs in navigation will be adjusted.".
The Irizar, under the command of Frigate Captain Maximiliano Mangiaterra.
