In September 2025, the exchange between Argentina and Brazil reached US$ 3051 million, an 11,9% more than in the same month of 2024, driven mainly by the increase in Argentine imports from Brazil. These data were released this Monday (10/6/2025) awarded by the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC).
Trade with Brazil
Argentine exports to Brazil fell 2,8% year-on-year, adding up US$ 1236 million, marking the third consecutive month of decline, affected by vehicles, oil, auto parts, and barley. Compared to August, sales rose 20,1%, following a month of negative growth.
Imports from Brazil grew 24,9%, reaching US$ 1814 million, highlighting vehicles, freight transport, electricity and auto parts.
Trade deficit
The Argentine trade balance was in deficit in US$ 578 million in September, accumulating US$4720 billion in the first nine months of the year. As a result, Argentina dropped from 4th to 5th place as a supplier to Brazil, although it remained 3rd in purchases.
Brazilian surplus
Brazil maintained its positive balance with the world, reaching US$ 2990 million In September, its exports grew 7,2% year-on-year and its imports grew 17,7%, recording seven consecutive months of surpluses.
