The National Government authorized two oil companies to export, on an "interruptible basis," 913,85 million cubic meters of natural gas from the Austral and Neuquina (south) basins to Brazil and Chile.
This is established by the resolutions 3, 5 y 6 of the Ministry of Energy published this Friday (18.1.2019) in the Official Gazette.
Brazil
Wintershall Energy has permission to export 159 million cubic meters of natural gas to Brazil from the San Roque and Aguada Pichana areas of the Neuquén Basin, destined for the Brazilian supplier AES Uruguaiana Emprendimientos.
Wintershall is authorised to supply a maximum daily volume of 750.000 cubic metres of 9.300 kilocalorie gas to that country.
Chile
The General Fuel Company (CGC) was authorized for sale and export to Chile of a total of 754,85 million cubic meters of gas, of which 275,6 million will be used to supply the company Colbún SA and 479,25 million to the distributor Metanex Chile.
The daily volume of natural gas authorized for the purchase and sale contract between CGC and Colbún was set at 1,3 million cubic meters, while the volume subscribed with Metanex has a maximum authorized limit of 750.000 cubic meters.
