The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation approved the list of companies eligible to export raw or unprocessed tobacco within the framework of the tariff quota granted to the Argentine Republic by the United States of America, through the Resolution 328/2023.

According to the regulation, published this Tuesday (12.09.2023/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette, the companies authorized to export their production correspond to Jujuy Tobacco Growers Cooperative, Alliance One Tobacco Argentina and Salta Tobacco Producers Cooperative.

Remember that the business cycle corresponds to 2023/2024.

In the preamble, the resolution explains that the quota is an annual tariff rate that the United States Department of Agriculture granted to the country, by virtue of the Memorandum of Understanding as a result of the Uruguay Round. According to the agreement, Argentina receives a total annual quota of 10.750 tons, to be executed between September 13 of each year and September 12 of the following year.
