The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) established the general provisions, procedures and requirements to request the Registration as a permit holder for a means of transport supplying fuel.

Also to obtain the Enabling of ships or naval artifacts of national registration, which will operate to supply fuel to national or foreign vessels involved in the international transport of passengers and goods.

He did it through the 4552 / 2019 resolution published this Thursday (22.08.2019) in the Official Gazette, where it warned that when non-compliance with the obligations established therein is verified, the person responsible will be liable to the sanctions provided for by the Customs Code or, where appropriate, in the corresponding laws, without prejudice to the suspension or disqualification to continue operating.

The AFIP previously arranged for the creation of Special Customs Registries, made up of foreign trade operators, in order to increase efficiency, security and transparency in the relationship between the tax authorities and the taxpayer.

Based on the experience gathered and the analysis carried out, the agency considered that it is necessary to enable means of transport to supply fuel in cases where vessels involved in international transport are unable, for operational reasons, to be supplied with fuel in the usual places for this purpose.

He stressed that this It will allow the maintenance of important commercial sources for the national sector, and will guarantee the fluidity of trade.

Accordingly, he pointed out that it is necessary to establish the general provisions, requirements and applicable procedures in order to proceed to enable the means of transport that will operate in the supply of fuel for vessels, national or foreign, affected by the international transport of passengers or merchandise.

These must be located within the customs maritime zone in the geographic areas defined by AFIP, as well as implementing the figure of permit holder for the aforementioned means of transport.
