Valparaíso hosts the largest port convention in America

The port of Valparaíso received for the first time, both in Chile and in South America, the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) Annual Convention.

In this edition, the 107th in the history of the AAPA, more than 650 international managers and specialists will meet from the October 7th to 10th of this year to discuss the main challenges facing the port industry at a continental level.

Events

Among the topics on the agenda, experts will discuss the Overview of the growing global economy; consolidations and alliances in the transport industry; good practices to improve the city-port relationship; the application of new technologies as a strategy for development and efficiency; cybersecurity and resilience in the marine environment, as well as environmental considerations in port management.

In this way, Valparaíso, Chile's leading commercial port and a World Heritage City, is hosting the continent's port summit, which will bring together the top leaders of the maritime sector on a global scale.
