CARU: Argentina and Uruguay will present a roadmap for the development of fishing

Argentina and Uruguay agreed on a roadmap for the development of sport fishing in the Uruguay River, which will begin in 2019.

Authorities of Both countries will launch the initiative on Monday (8.10.2018) at the headquarters of the Uruguay River Administrative Commission (CARU), in Paysandú, according to the presidency of Uruguay.

The plan is financed by the Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation (AUCI) and the Argentine Fund for Horizontal Cooperation (FOAR), based on initiatives by the Ministry of Tourism of Uruguay and the Secretariat of Tourism of Argentina.

La conservation of fish resources and regional socioeconomic development, as well as, the participation of fishermen and representatives The municipalities of Salto, Paysandú, Artigas, Río Negro and Soriano, from Uruguay, plus the province of Entre Ríos and the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI), from Argentina, distinguish the binational initiative.

The Ministry of Tourism of Uruguay and the Secretariat of Tourism of Argentina They will work together to promote sport fishing as a strategy for the conservation of natural resources and the development of the regional economy.
