The Secretary General of the Andean Community, Jorge Hernando Pedraza, spoke on Monday (09.05.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, César Landa, about the work plan that Peru will develop as Pro Tempore Presidency of the CAN starting in July.
At the meeting held at the Peruvian Foreign Ministry, the head of the organization reiterated his willingness to continue working together and proposed bringing the Andean Community closer to citizens through actions that are carried out in a decentralized manner.
The Secretary General's initiative, “The CAN to the region”, includes the development of activities within the country in the area of interconnection yconnectivity, border development, indigenous peoples, Afro-descendants, support for SMEs, trade facilitation, tourism, among others.
These actions will allow the population to learn more about the benefits of the CAN and their rights as citizens of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, the member countries that make up the bloc.
