For its part, the Agricultural Council reports that the European Union Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) published the report on August 20, related to the audit carried out in Argentina by the EU on February 26, where they verified beef and sheep meat refrigeration establishments authorized to export, Located in the provinces of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe and Santa Cruz and the Argentine control system, indicating that the requirements of the standards are met.
With regard to the production of beef and sheep meat destined for the EU, The audit carried out by the European experts concludes that the official control system in place is “well designed and correctly implemented”. The system in place provides an adequate basis to support the “reliability of the attestations contained in export certificates” to this destination.
In addition, the requirements for Establishments producing beef and sheep meat “comply with EU standards and are subject to official control”. The FVO considers that controls are “effective overall and allow the competent authorities to provide adequate guarantees that products have been produced in accordance with EU standards”.
