The Libertad frigate will arrive this Thursday (05.10.2017) in the afternoon at the northern dock of the port of Buenos Aires.
The ship will thus complete its training voyage, which began on March 25 and took its 293 crew members on a journey of 23.000 nautical miles, during which it called at 14 ports in America and Europe.
The arrival is estimated at around 17.45:XNUMX p.m. and will be presided over by the Minister of Defense, Oscar Aguad, and the Chief of the General Staff of the Navy, Admiral Marcelo Eduardo Hipólito Srur., the Argentine Navy reported in a statement.
The Argentine Navy's training ship, under the command of Captain Fernando Maglione, will complete its 46th training voyage on Thursday, a journey equivalent to 41.400 kilometers in which it visited the ports of Fortaleza (Brazil), Veracruz (Mexico), Charleston and Miami (USA), Den Helder (Holland), Wilhelmshaven (Germany), Malmo (Sweden), Boulogne Sur Mer (France), Portsmouth (United Kingdom), Barcelona and Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Montevideo (Uruguay).
Since its first voyage in 1963, the Libertad frigate has traveled more than 800 nautical miles around the world and is a source of pride for Argentina.
