-

A national proposal seeks to reduce logistics costs in the ports of Rosario and the region, and improve the international positioning of the agro-export complex, which is already the most important in the country.

The intention is promoted by the Ministry of Transport of the Nation and seeks to study the cost system faced by cargo ships that transport grains and products from the region.

Specifically, it points to a rReduction of the toll rate faced by vessels. Currently, that The cost is $3,06 per tonne and the intention is to reduce it to $2,25.

In this way, the entire logistics system would have lower costs and Argentine exports from Greater Rosario could gain a better position in the international market, which, in turn, would have a positive impact on the entire complex.

With the current draft of the waterway of 34 feet, ships carry an average of 46.600 tons.

Using this value as a reference, a ship pays 142.596 dollars for the use of the waterway, while if the value proposed by the national portfolio is implemented, they would pay 104.850 dollars.
