Government formalizes the extension of the tax holiday until July 17

The decision of the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) of extend the tax holiday until July 17 It was made official this Tuesday (30.06.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX) with the publication in the Official Gazette of the General Resolution 4750/2020.

The rule specifies that, as long as social, preventive and mandatory isolation continues due to the coronavirus pandemic, The suspension of the calculation of the deadlines in force for taxpayers in different administrative procedures will be maintained.

The measure reaches ex officio determinations, summaries, fines, discharges, closures, payment notices and inspection requirements, among others.

The measure keeps in place the audit procedures carried out by AFIP based on information provided by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on Argentine accounts abroad.

The body led by Mercedes Marcó del Pont stated that "a tax fair consists of the extension of all procedural deadlines in tax, customs and social security matters," and clarified that "The measure does not suspend the actions of the AFIP«.

He also pointed out that, "during its validity, the calculation of the deadlines governing the response of taxpayers to the requests of the agency is suspended."
