The Ministry of Foreign Affairs created the Public Private Council for the Promotion of Exports, within the scope of the Secretariat of International Economic Relations, through the Resolution 136 / 2020 published this Tuesday (30.06.2020) in the Official Gazette.
The Council will have the objective of providing advice and making proposals to the Secretariat, for the formulation of a national export policy with a view to promoting the growth of the export sector.
This new body will have to develop strategies for the growth of the national export sector; collaborate in the identification of key markets; assist in the definition of the exportable offer; and develop the design of export programs, objectives and goals.
The recommendations, proposals and actions taken by the Council shall not be binding on the Ministry.
It will be made up of the Secretariat of International Economic Relations, which will preside over it, and by the entities and chambers with active participation in foreign trade that are called to integrate it, taking into account the criterion of their representativeness in the private sector.
