By Resolution 63 / 2025, the State Property Administration Agency (AABE) arranged for the allocation of a state property to the Vice Chief of Staff of the Interior - Undersecretariat of the Interior. The property will be used for the operation of the Iguazú Border Center, in the province of Missions (Northeast Argentina).
The measure, published on Monday (09.06.2025/12/1639) in the Official Gazette, affects a section of the property owned by the National State located on National Route 9, kilometer 43, in the town of Puerto Iguazú, department of Iguazú. The plot identified as Department 2 - Municipality 111 - Section 5400057003 - Plot 1 (Part), corresponding to the Property Identification Code (CIE) No. XNUMX/XNUMX, has a total area of approximately 97.690,40 m².
According to the norm, the property will be used to develop infrastructure and specific work areas in the Iguazú Border Center, with the presence of national bodies for the control and facilitation of international transit. These include:
- Customs Rehabilitation and Control Agency (ARCA)
- National Migration
- Argentine National Gendarmerie
- National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (SENASA)
The allocation is based on the need to guarantee adequate space for the functions these agencies perform in a strategic location in the country, both from the perspective of security, international trade, immigration control, and agri-food health.
As can be seen on the cover, this property is located at an important point for regional connectivity and cross-border integration, in Misiones, specifically in Puerto Iguazú (Argentina), near the border with Foz do Iguazú (Brazil). The sketch is attached as an ANNEX, which forms an integral part of the resolution.
With this decision, the Argentine government seeks to optimize the use of its real estate assets to improve institutional infrastructure in border areas and strengthen interagency coordination at one of the region's key transit points.
