For its part, Felix Alvarado, Minister of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing of Guatemala, He stressed the importance of the plan by stating: “Central America is Guatemala's main trading partner. We are also a key link between Central America, Mexico and the United States. It is essential to have good road connections with the region, agile border crossings and efficient logistics services. Investing in regional mobility and logistics is not only a matter of self-interest, but also of good neighborliness: countries that invest will be able to reap the benefits of their mutual ties. But countries that do not invest not only disconnect themselves from the region and the globe, but, as links in a chain, they damage the opportunities of their neighbors.. "

During the workshop, crucial topics such as financing mechanisms, governance models and progress in the implementation of the PM2035 Immediate Action Plan were addressed. Minister Alvarado also presented the priority projects defined by the Government of Guatemala, providing a strategic vision on the implementation of the Plan.

Among the event's highlights, participants had the opportunity to understand the context and scope of PM2035, identify Guatemala's priority projects included in the plan, and discuss progress on the Immediate Action Plan. The workshop promoted an enriching dialogue between key stakeholders from the public and private sectors, highlighting the economic opportunities that PM2035 offers for Guatemala and the region.

The workshop agenda included presentations by renowned officials and experts, as well as a panel of commentators who discussed economic development opportunities in Guatemala and Central America.
