The National Service of Health and Agri-Food Quality (Senasa), together with different actors of the fishing sector of the municipality of General Pueyrredón, province of Buenos Aires, held a meeting in which they analyzed the progress in the Electronic implementation of computer systems, especially with regard to the authorisation of export destinations, electronic certification, product approval and remote procedures in the fishing sector.
According to information from Senasa, the necessary adjustments were monitored in the electronic Certification Management System (SIG-Cer) of the Agency in order to streamline the use of this computer tool and thus adapt it to the needs of the local fishing sector, intending that the results collected by said System be useful and shared between Senasa and the private sector.
Contribution of electronic certification
This electronic health certification provides operational, statistical and product traceability data, of great value to official control bodies, the private sector and consumers, since they can know the origin and the data of the industrialization and commercialization of the food they consume.
Public and private meeting
The meeting was attended by the director of Safety of Fishery and Aquaculture Products, Fabián Ballesteros, from the Buenos Aires South Regional Center, Emiliano Cacace, from Quality and Safety, Mauricio Torres, along with supervisors and technicians from the Senasa Fisheries Department.
