Argentina and Paraguay agree to an extension for the shipment operation at km 171 of the Paraná Guazú River.

This was reported by ARCA in a statement released today (18.08.2025/13/XNUMX), noting that the delegations of Argentina and Paraguay met on Thursday, August XNUMX at the headquarters of the National Foreign Ministry of Paraguay to coordinate the operations of stash or transfer, at kilometer 171 of the Paraguay-Paraná Waterway, given that the Maritime Ordinance No. 4/81 of the Argentine National Prefecture established kilometers 172 and 173 as those authorized for said activities.

The meeting was chaired by José Andrés Velis, Director General of Customs for ARCA, and Blas Felip, Director General of Foreign Trade for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Paraguay, and was attended by representatives from the public and private sectors of both countries.

As a result of the meeting, “It was agreed to extend the authorization for 10 months or until a definitive consensus was reached among all the actors involved.Both delegations agreed to continue working to ensure the continuity and efficiency of operations."

According to ARCA, "the importance of ensuring predictability and efficiency in operations, as well as maintaining dialogue between the public and private sectors, was highlighted."
