AFIP replaces bank deposits with electronic payment for tariffs and non-tax revenues

-

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) has eliminated the payment of fees and non-tax items through bank deposits. Instead, taxpayers, responsible parties and other subjects who carry out procedures before the agency must exclusively use electronic payment methods.

This is established by the General Resolution No. 3.032/2024, published today (17.09.2024) in the Official Gazette. The details of tariffs and non-tax items can be found in Annex I.

AFIP explained that this measure is part of its “strategy to facilitate and expedite procedures through digital innovation.” The adoption of new tools and electronic payment systems seeks to minimize the use of cash and reduce the time that citizens spend on face-to-face transactions with the entity.

The change also reinforces the organization's commitment to modernizing and simplifying its procedures, aligning itself with global trends in the digitalization of public administration.

Generation of the Acts

Specifically, to generate the electronic payment slip (VEP), taxpayers must access the web service "Filing of DDJJ and Payments” using your Tax Code with a Security Level 2 or higher. Once inside, you must select the option “New VEP” (Electronic Payment Voucher), choose “AFIP» as “Collecting Agency” and, in the section “Payment Type Groups”, select the option “Rates and Tariffs".

The system will then display the table “Payment type” with the various concepts available. The user will be able to select the corresponding option according to the details below:

1. “Filling out Official Documents – AFIP Only” (F1012),
2. “Customs Tariffs and Various Income – AFIP Only” (F1013)

The fields corresponding to the tax codes, concept and subconcept, as well as the other data required by the system, must be completed. This will allow the Electronic Payment Slip (VEP) to be generated with the amount to be paid.

This service for citizens will come into effect "on the first day of the month immediately following its publication in the Official Gazette," AFIP clarified.
