Within the framework of the existing agreements and regulations on navigation and transportation of merchandise on the Paraguay – Paraná Waterway, the AFIP has issued the General Resolution 4940/2021 by which the is determined Procedure for monitoring and implementing the International Customs Transit Computer System (SINTIA) on said traffic route.
The implemented system is thus necessary for the Registration and monitoring of the electronic river International Cargo Manifest/Customs Transit Declaration (MIC/DTA), through the Paraguay – Paraná Waterway.
For this reason, said Resolution determines the procedure for using the International Customs Transit Computer System (SINTIA) for the registration and monitoring of the electronic fluvial International Cargo Manifest/Customs Transit Declaration (MIC/DTA), for international customs transits carried out through the Paraguay – Paraná Waterway, as detailed in the following Annexes, which are part of the Resolution.

The registration for the manifest, says the rule, will be carried out in accordance with the guidelines contained in the “External User Manual”, available on the “Hidrovía Paraguay – Paraná” microsite of the AFIP website (www.afip.gob.ar).
This Resolution, published today, enters into force immediately.
