Since thousands of Chileans will be leaving through the country's border crossings and airports throughout this week-long celebration of Evangelical and Protestant Church Day on October 26 and 27, the National Customs Service has released a guide with advice for travelers with the aim of ensuring a successful trip.

Entry of products into Chile that do pay tax
In the case of those who wish to import products without commercial value, they should keep in mind that they can do so as long as they have a value up to US$3000 (almost 1.8 million pesos). If the goods are of a commercial nature, the invoice amount may be up to US$1000 (625 thousand pesos). In larger cases, it is necessary to contact Customs.
If you are traveling by private vehicle to Argentina or Bolivia:
- You must present the vehicle registration or current annotation certificate
- Identification card of the person who drives
- If the owner is not traveling, the driver must present a notarized authorization stating that he can drive the car and take it out of the country.

- International insurance with coverage in Argentina, for civil liability against damages and/or injuries to third parties.
In case of traveling to Peru by vehicle through the Chacalluta border crossing:
- You can use the Arica Tacna Agreement that allows you to leave with the car for a maximum of 7 days.
- You must present the Passenger List document.
- Driver's identity card.
- You must present the vehicle registration or current annotation certificate
- If the owner is not traveling, the driver must present a notarial authorization indicating that he can drive the car and take it out of the country, in addition to being visaed (apostilled) by the Peruvian consulate or embassy.
