Working meetings between Uruguay and the United States began this Monday (07.11.2022) to implement the Mutual Recognition Agreement on Authorized Economic Operators (AEO), official sources reported.
It should be noted that the US C-PAT and the Certified Economic Operator (CEO), implemented by Uruguay, are two relevant programs for the new development of international trade, which respond to the SAFE Regulatory Framework of the World Customs Organization.
In this context, Uruguayan Customs said that the delegation of the US C-TPAT Program was made up of Cristóbal Hernández, Guillermo Salomón and Flavio Garza.
He also announced that the November 15th next will be held event "Strengthening secure trade between Uruguay and the United States through the AEO and Mutual Recognition Agreements as tools for Trade Facilitation and security in the international supply chain.”
The official statement said that the purpose of the meeting was to disseminate the Mutual Recognition Agreement for its implementation and to provide training on new security criteria in the supply chain.
