The Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) announced on Monday (17.01.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX) the change in hours of attention to users of the Integrated Border Post of Corinto, located in the department of Cortés, in the Republic of Honduras.
The new schedule is Monday to Sunday from 5 am to 10 pm. for all operations related to the passage of goods, empty vehicles and tourism, the statement said.
The technical and administrative body of the Central American Economic Integration Process also clarified that the hours of attention of the integrated border posts of The Florido and Agua Caliente continues to be the one established in the Ministerial Instance No. 4 of June 16, 2017.
It should be noted that Honduras and Guatemala implemented the first customs union on the American continent in June 2017, based on the legal instruments of Central American economic integration. Meanwhile, the Republic of El Salvador officially joined this customs union process in 2018.
For the establishment of this deep integration process, they were created Integrated Border Posts at three common land points: Agua Caliente, El Florido and Corinto, which have Trade Facilitation Centers to ensure the smooth passage of goods and Control Centers to handle goods exempt from free circulation in the single customs territory.
