The Customs Brokers Union of São Paulo (SINDASP) proudly celebrated its 75 º aniversario This Tuesday (03.12.2024), with the premiere of an emotional documentary that highlights the history and dedication of customs professionals in Brazil. From the leadership of President Elson Isayama to the men and women who work tirelessly in São Paulo customs, the union commemorates more than seven decades of effort and achievements in the defense and recognition of the category.

The documentary, which pays tribute to decades of tireless work, highlights the fundamental importance of the customs broker in Brazilian foreign trade. This role, indispensable for the correct interpretation and application of customs legislation, is essential in a country with a complex and dynamic regulatory environment such as Brazil.

The customs broker has evolved from a figure who performed manual and bureaucratic tasks to a digitalized and specialized professional, adapting to the technological and operational advances of the sector. The COVID-19 pandemic represented a significant challenge, but it also highlighted the courage of the brokers, who kept logistics and customs operational, guaranteeing the flow of essential goods, including medical supplies.

SINDASP has worked closely with government agencies, promoting the development of digital tools such as EDUCOMEX, which facilitates foreign trade procedures. The career of a customs broker is seen as a process of constant evolution, marked by effort, continuous training and commitment to the advancement of the sector..

«May this story continue to inspire us to build the future with responsibility, courage and purpose. There is still much to do, but today, just for today, is time to be thankful. Congratulations, SINDASP, on your 75 years of history!» concluded Elson Isayama, President of SINDASP, in his celebratory message.

Everyone is invited to enjoy this moving documentary that celebrates the importance of customs brokers and their tireless contribution to the Brazilian economy.
