The National Customs Authority (ANA) of Panama held the annual seminar on April 14 and 15 for customs brokers called "Current affairs in foreign trade, customs and logistics", official sources reported.
In a statement after the meeting, the ANA explained that the opening he was in charge of the General Director of Customs, Tayra Barsallo, who highlighted the importance of the role played by customs management assistants and listed the various projects that the entity is carrying out to facilitate trade.
In this way, customs brokers had the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge with national and international specialists who addressed the following: Topics: E-Commerce and Technological Tools in Customs Management, Multilateral Trade System in customs processes, Rules of Origin in Free Trade Zones and Special Zones, Goods that are difficult to classify, Neologistics and Special Zones and the Future of the Trade Facilitation Agreement.
According to ANA, the head of Customs also participated as a speaker where she explained the advances of some projects such as the payment gateway In which, according to the first reports, it is detailed that out of 51 transactions with daily payments, figures above B/90,000.00 have been recorded.
Also present at the event were the Deputy Director of Logistics, Juan Pablo García; the General Secretary, Hitzebeth Buruyides and part of the technical team of the Technical Management Directorate, as well as Dania Palma and Eric Julio who provided information, at a promotional stand, about the figure of the Authorized Economic Operator.
