With the purpose of strengthening capacities in good practices of safe international trade for Central America, BASC (Business Alliance Secure Commerce) began the Interinstitutional Diploma with customs in the region.
The activity aimed at 30 specialists of the Authorized Economic Operator Program of the Central American Customs will be extended from today, April 18th to July 6th next, Panamanian Customs reported.
The diploma course opened with the words of the Director of the BASC Panama Chapter, Giomar Gonzalez, And International President of BASC Organization, Erik Moncayo, who highlighted the leadership of the Authorized Economic Operator for safe trade.
Meanwhile, Director General of Customs of Panama, Tayra Barsallo, stressed the importance of learning. “The diploma is an invaluable opportunity because the exchange of information and experiences between customs in Central America is the way to confront illicit trade,” he added.
The BASC Interinstitutional Diploma with Customs is composed of a series of modules that will promote the culture of supply chain security in Central America.
