With the firm purpose of fulfilling the objectives of the Comprehensive Customs Modernization Program, the Superintendency of Tax Administration (SAT) of Guatemala, in coordination with the Temporary Customs Warehouse COMBEX-IM, enabled on Thursday (05.08.2021) a "special window” for the attention of reliable actors at La Aurora International Airport.

“This window is located inside the Import Service Office, in the import warehouse of the Temporary Customs Warehousel”, the statement said. And it clarified that the measure It will facilitate the submission and processing of cargo, clearance and other administrative requests by authorised economic operators.

“This benefit It was implemented in a prioritized manner in the DAT COMBEX-IM, articulating modernization efforts in the air model, a measure that will gradually be replicated in other customs facilities," the official text states.

In addition, the SAT announced that "in addition to the opening of such a window, the Temporary Customs Warehouse also has a package of benefits planned for each type of actor for these operators, which would generate more benefits for the OEA."

In order to boost national competitiveness, SAT will continue working to expand benefits for Authorized Economic Operators, both through the signing of Mutual Recognition Agreements and through action plans.
