Government extends the entry into force of the Digital Certificate of Origin (COD)

-

The National Government extended until May 1 the entry into force of the resolution that established that, for exports to Brazil and Uruguay, Certificates of Origin must be issued through the Digital Certification of Origin (COD).

This is established by the 15 / 2019 resolution of the Ministry of Production published this Friday (1.3.2019) in the Official Gazette.

Through Resolution 519 of August 2018, it was established that, for exports destined for Brazil and Uruguay, entities authorized to issue Certificates of Origin within the framework of the Latin American Integration Association (Aladi) and the Southern Common Market (Mercosur) must do so through Digital Certification of Origin (COD).

However, the new regulations specified that in order to ensure proper implementation of the provisions of Resolution 519 and achieve compliance with the objectives and purposes it proposes, it is appropriate to extend its entry into force.
